I was referred by a current employee. I very quickly received emails from an automated system asking me to fill out an online profile. Shortly after that I had an initial call with a recruiter. On this call I was told that they wanted to progress immediately to the next stages. I spent over an hour on psychometric tests but was never given any feedback on these. Shortly after I was asked to sit an hour long 'technical' interview with an architect from the team I'd be working with. This was informal and generally more "Do you know anything about a, b and c?" - "Yes, I used them on blah blah project, in this role etc" - "Okay, moving on." than a technical interview. For reference I currently use all of the technologies required for this role day to day, so it isn't that I couldn't answer further questions.
Then, nothing. No feedback. No rejection. I contacted the recruiter but didn't get a reply. I contacted my acquaintance, who followed up with the recruiter, who didn't reply.
Asking a candidate to put three hours into an application and not having the common courtesy to tell them you won't be progressing any further with their application shows how much they really care about people.
