It was a quick interview . They need to say affirmatively to the applicant ! If I hire you under 1099 tax forms. You the Company driver are Responsible for all truck repairs! Even if You the company driver receives a Crappy trailer or Crappy truck! Give the applicant the option of being a W2 tax form employee or 1099 tax form employee!
