I applied here because the 1st words on their job ad says "WFH". Turns out its only "temporary WFH", and soon you will be asked to report to their HQ office in Clark, Pampanga. I asked the Operations Manager what does she mean by "temporary" WFH? Is it for a month? a week? Definitely not for 1 year, because 365 days cannot be classified as 'temporary'. The Operations Manager gave a non-answer "I'm not sure when, I can't tell, because everything may change." And that's when I knew I'm being played. I can't risk working 3 months in then asked to go RTO in a far, far away land because should I leave their company after only 3 months, that will look very bad on my resume and that will damage my record of years-long tenure in the same company.
I don't demand that WFH is a non-negotiable, but if that's the first word on your job ad, and then you make your applicants go through hoops, and then later on by the 3rd interview retract it by saying 'Oh, WFH is only temporary' and then turns out your office is located in boondocks, don't expect applicants to be happy. Be honest on your job ads please, the same way you expect honesty from your applicants.
Oh, and their office is housed by a local EOR provider, who always showcases their nice cafe-style offices, but not a single ergonomic chair in sight.
