I had a telephone quick interview asking a few questions like why this role, what you would do in a difficult situation, a time you have gone above and beyond/shown initiative.
Then, I was invited to an interview in person (even though it wasn't even an interview) and had a look at shadowing the staff working at the store. I was so put off by my experience, the manager arrived late, didn't properly interview me and was flirting/eyeing up one of the staff there. The manager took me to a corner and said what did you think of today, will you be able to quickly learn how to do the pre-screening etc. I was not asked about my experience or anything else. Overall, I was really uncomfortable and I am glad I didn't get the offer.
This was for the VE in Dudley Tesco Express.

Called 1 day after application submitted that I was shortlisted for interview. Interviewed 1 week later , received email informing unsuccessful 2 weeks after interview. Interview itself very casual, explanation of previous experience and providing some examples of customer service.
