Interviews are like work for this company. Be prepared to be there for an hour and a half and to speak with two groups of four people. They will really go at you to try to make you feel it's your fault for not getting hired. It's not.
There is a lot of lateral movement at this company for this position--when one project ends, the current employee needs to find another placement, as the company doesn't want to invest money in training another person. Gore is known for hiring seasoned people who will network to learn a position rather than providing traditional training.. So it's possible you're just filling a requirement by being interviewed. I went through two rounds of this (2 days of interviews six months apart). I would have been a great fit for a job there (and I was told that by some of the interviewers), but I know that I was paired with current employees. It was a big WASTE of time for me. Afterward I was asked about being interested in a copyediting position, but I never heard back from them. That might be because I called them out on their process: their government contracts require them to interview outside of the company even if they are going to hire from within. The copyediting job involved reviewing the government contracts, so I would have found the proof. Ultimately, I'm glad I wasn't hired. This particular facility does animal testing--on dogs that they raise themselves. I couldn't support that, not ever.

Interview process takes forever. HR doesn't have it together - they are slow. Don't expect to hear back for months. No formal follow up if you get the job or not.
