I went through a 2-month interview process with West Cary Group that included 5+ rounds across TA, senior leadership, a PM, and even the client I’d manage.
After the final round: “We’ll get feedback from the team.”
Then silence.
No follow-up. No closure.
What stood out more was how late-stage conversations shifted into detailed discussions on how I’d structure their marketing data ecosystem. What to collect, how to organize it, how to operationalize it.
At a certain point, it stops feeling like an interview and starts feeling like free consulting.
A process this long should at least end with basic communication. This one didn’t.
