Behavioral interview with District Manager and a Community Leader. There was an internal review before selecting candidates. Store Managers are promoted from within. District Manager and Community Leader alternated asking questions and taking notes. You were allowed to skip a question and they would come back to it later. Interview took place at the District Office.

The interview was definately more analytical than most store manager opportunities, and was really focusing on marketplace trends and not at all on overall good fit for company culture or teams
The DM was nice and professional. Was transparent in his questions and wanted feedback from me. Up front with the condition of the store he was thinking of putting me in and asked if I was up for the challenge.
