I received an unprompted telephone call about a week after applying, which turned out to be a screening call.
I proceeded to the first round of a three-round interview process the next week. The interviewer was a line manager and many of the questions were the same as my phone screening call. The interviewer seemed completely disinterested in my answers and lacked any obvious enthusiasm for getting into deeper conversation with any of the topics asked about. It really felt like a box-ticking exercise on their part. When I enquired about the training provided for the SIEM that they use, I was told that I would be put to work immediately and they would "see if what I was reporting was correct". Knowing that I was a graduate this seemed like a red flag to me.
I learned after that I was to proceed to the second round and a date was scheduled for the following week. This was then cancelled due to unavailability on their end, and when I suggested we reschedule to the next week I never heard back from them.
On a positive note I will say that the HR representative was excellent during the call and in the background for the first round interview, right up until they ceased contact.
