1. Initial call, nice guy.
2. Engineering manager asking about background and motivation. Nice one too.
3. Take home assessment, can get it done in 4 hours and even doing extra.
4. Then product, algorithm + system design interview + cultural fit
The product interview never happened, as people didn't show up.
The technical interview was alright, system design bit was too vague and took me some time to get the requirements right. But good experience overall.
The cultural fit though was an uncomfortable chat sadly. Interviewer didn't present themself, and out of the blue, told me to not lie, as in, I'm there to lie, assuming bad in people is a real red flag for me. Then was very pushy and condescending when i was giving away my examples, saying i was doing things because it was a policy at my company, when in reality no one asks me to do the examples I gave to this person, so basically wanted to hear what they considered a good example and was not actively listening to me.
On top of that, started asking me technical questions, after I said I don't want to get too technical, because as I said, I didn't know this person, never introduced to me.
When I finally had two minutes to ask, I asked they an example of a value was dear to them (they pointed that out), and gave a very vague example that really did not solve my question, seem bothered after that question which is weird frankly.
This last step makes my experience bad overall.
