      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Waystar en avr. 2022

      Entretien

I was contacted by a company representative who thought I would be a good fit for a position based on my background. I agreed, and we started the process. There was an initial interview with the recruiter, which was a quick screening call. We then scheduled an interview with one of the directors. The interview went great. The director was friendly and asked great questions. We touched upon my background and interests. Then I had a panel interview with two management officials. Again, everyone was very friendly, transparent, and asked great questions. We talked about my background, and I was presented with a few scenarios of how I would go about solving them. I followed up, and asked about some of the challenges, structures, and what to expect in the role. After that, I was sent an assessment, which was a pretty standard personality and logic assessment which seems to be common for many companies. This took me less than an hour to complete. Next, I had another panel interview with the hiring manager and the senior member of his team. I was given some scenarios to work through, and they asked me some technical questions regarding the applications that they use and my experience with them. I asked them some questions about the culture. Up to this point, everything was going well. I did not notice any friction, personality conflict, or miscommunication. I was then contacted for the final interview with a senior official of the hiring department. This is where things began to break down. The interview was rescheduled twice. The first time was 10 minutes prior to our scheduled interview. The second time, I was contacted an hour after the interview would have ended to reschedule, with no prior contact despite reaching out to confirm if the interview was still happening. The third and final time, he was 10 minutes late, despite me reaching out again to confirm if we will still had a meeting. He barely apologized, and proceeded with questions. We got through maybe 5 questions. These were fairly general questions about the processes and analyses that I have done in my current position. I was then interrupted in the middle of my last response and asked if he was wasting my time. When I responded no, that we were having a conversation, he stated that he's "trying to build a culture," doesn't see me fitting in, said good bye, and hung up. The whole interview lasted less than 10 minutes since the beginning. Overall, the process was not bad, save for the last interview, but extremely lengthy for the level of the position that this was. I was told that this is under review, so hopefully it will be shorter. Everyone, save the final interview, was very friendly, welcoming, and positive, with good information.
