Interviewing with Weight Not has been one of the most unprofessional experiences, that I have ever had. I was invited to send a list of available times for an interview. The company took 6 days to get back with me after I tried to reach back at her several times with the specified times. On the day of the interview she rescheduled 3 times and was then 40 minutes late to the actual interview . If I got anything out of this interview and the two weeks of wasted time, it was to know that Weight Not not only exploits its customers with the prices that they are charging for supposed weight loss; but that they are also exploiting their workers and trying to get them to sell high amounts monthly, while barely compensating them not only for their time but also a very weak commission structure. As I said I will go into further detail with specifics about this. Weight Not is not only very unprofessional, but are outright liars. After our interview she stated that I would be hearing from Weight Not within a week to see if I will be moving forward either way. She stated that I will be receiving a phone call or an email with this information. Not only did I not receive this information within the following week, I waited an additional 3 days before contacting the company. I left her several voice messages and sent several emails asking if I could know the status of my application. I had to keep calling over a week. While I understand and respect their decision, there was no need for me to have to chase them down to even interview me in the first place. I have come to the conclusion that when I had to begin to ask her to confirm a date for the interview and she had taken up to 6 days to get back with me, that she had probably already interviewed someone at that point and was simply just going through the motion knowing the position had already been filled. The reason that I am so upset, it's not because I did not get the position, because to be blunt I would really not want to work with the company with a sales compensation structure that they are based off of which I will explain soon. I also was not comfortable working with the company that has a lack of professionalism and clearly lies to it the candidates. In my opinion it was simply a preview of what was to come as an employee. Based upon reading some of the reviews that employees have written, I'm really not surprised at how they are treated and what the expectations are because the main point of contact for hiring is a liar and unprofessional. If you watch the videos that are on weight not's website you will see the different people that are in specific positions. There are about three videos on the website, and the video is very misleading. The pretentious videos that they post are incredibly fake and from the reviews that I've seen many clients and employees put on various websites including glassdoor, I am forced to believe that all of the positive things that they talk about in the video are all lies. She is in no way who she portrays herself to be on that video she is dishonest, unprofessional and has absolutely no respect for people's time. The only thing that I can say that I got out of the interview was her being able to tell me some specifics on the breakdown of the compensation structure as well as commissions. I'm not really sure as to why she was so comfortable and forthcoming about the information, to a potential candidate who she was clearly not interested in. It's amazing but at the same time obvious why on their website they do not list pricing for the products that are being sold by their company as well as the services. I was told that the memberships for clients that they are selling are in the thousands, and that you are expected to sell at a minimum of $24,000 per month. The offer that she told me for the position of the membership enrollment specialist, is $30,000 base pay. You however are expected to make $24,000 minimum per month in sales for the company Weight Not. Also I was told that the compensation structure if you meet the minimum requirements of the 24000 is at a Max of $1,000 per month. Having worked for other organizations in sales I know that they are truly getting over. They are expecting you to make almost your base salary in one month every month, but you are only being compensated up to $1,000 at a cap. This is not only unethical, but it is disgusting and I can see why his previous company ,the med spa did not work. They clearly do not have the best interest of their clients in mind. I was also told that you don't really get that many leads per month. She told me that the lead flow per person is about 20 to 25 leads per month, and out of those leads you are expected to make 24000 Plus in sales. To future candidates that are applying for this position, WEIGH your options and you will see that WEIGHT NOT is NOT the best place for you to be.

We do our best to communicate decisions to candidates in a timely fashion, however there are occasions when decisions are delayed for a variety of normal business reasons such as timing of training classes, etc.. Our apologies for any extra time you may have waited to learn of your interview outcome. While the information you provided regarding compensation had a number of factual inaccuracies, we would point out specifically that commission for sales staff are NOT capped as you indicate and that sales goals vary monthly/seasonally. Overall, the level of anger, baseless suspicion, hostility and wild conjecture in your comments is candidly somewhat shocking, and while we understand that being rejected for a position can be disappointing, we must also comment that your personal attacks are both unwarranted and unfounded. We hope that you find a position and company that is better suited to you.

My first interview was a telephone screening regarding my background. 2 weeks later I had a 2nd phone interview that I believed went very well with the owner and CEO of the company. I was very excited about the opportunity and believed I would be an excellent candidate for the position. I was told at the end of the call I would be having a third interview. I continued to follow up via emails. Because the position I was interviewing for required email and telephone follow up, I felt that being assertive was appropriate. The third interview was scheduled with a training supervisor. This is when the interview process went downhill really fast! The original time scheduled was 10 a.m. I received an email that due to scheduling conflicts, I would need to reschedule for 2:30 in the afternoon. At the new scheduled time, I did not receive the expected call. Therefore, once again feeling that the position I was applying for required follow-up, I decided to contact the person I had an appointment with to make certain she was not expecting me to call her. She answered the call and explained that she was behind on her schedule and would call me back in a few minutes. She did call me back, however, she did not seem focused on our conversation and I was put on hold multiple times. She even had to disconnect from the middle of our conversation and call me back once again. By this time it was over an hour past our appointment. She had to cut me off when I was prepared to ask her a few questions and said could she call me back later that evening or over the weekend. I said that was fine and even followed up with an email to remind her and letting her know my weekend availability. Unfortunately, I never received a call or a response to my email. I followed up the next week with another email and did finally get the 4th (actually 5th) call. At this point I was extremely disappointed with the way things went with the conversations with the third interviewer. I am not really certain of where the ball was dropped or who dropped it. I always work hard to be a positive person with a happy and joyful outlook on life. I continued with the mindset that I would secure a position with WeightNot, do an excellent job for the company and be one of their top salespeople. I was determined that I would help as many people as possible achieve their weight and wellness goals. By doing this, I would be achieving my own goals as well. I have so much passion and compassion for people that are struggling with their weight. I have over 8 years of experience in the weight loss industry. I have always been very successful in sales because I help people with honesty and integrity. I relate to the overweight person with non-judging, understanding and support. About three years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I never mentioned this to anybody at WeightNot because I did not want it to influence the decision to hire me in anyway. However, I have to admit that after going through that difficult journey, I vowed to help as many people get healthier in any way possible. Health, nutrition and wellness became a top priority in my life! I wanted to work for a company that would give me the opportunity to reach out to more people than ever before while learning about new information to help others and myself too. I am currently working in a very low volume location that does not allow me the challenges I feel I need not to mention about an hour from my home. Also, I wanted to work for a company that was less clinical and had a more natural approach to weight loss and wellness and was convinced that I had found a place to work long term that also allowed me to work from home. (I have even bought a stand up desk to keep me on my feet!) Anyway, I was sent the dreaded email stating that I did not get selected for the position. I couldn't believe it because in my mind, I already had it! (Positive thoughts bring positive actions, right?) I also must believe that everything happens for a reason, even my case of breast cancer! I wrote back a reply to the person who I believe made the final decision NOT to hire me. I reached out to her asking for feedback on where I fell short. It has been over a week since that email and she has not replied. I had already been offered another position in a different industry that even paid more than WeightNot. However, I decided I would instead continue my job search. I do not want to settle at this point because I am truly looking for a long term relationship in my next career move. I believe everything happens for a reason. I am not sure why I did not get an offer with WeightNot, however I will continue my job search with a positive outlook that I will be given the opportunity to get the right job with the right company and use my love of people and sales skills. The money will, like always be the icing on the cake! (With low sugar icing of course!)
