The interview process was pretty simple. I was asked to talk about my previous journalism experience and why I knew it was something I wanted to do as a career. The conversation was casual, and the interviewers were very open and kind.

Easy. I was asked to email the editor with pitches for five stories. He liked it, then we had a phone interview, when he went over my resume and what he'd want from me.
