Was called to schedule an interview, so I did just that. I was told to meet the owner of the company at the near by Meijer and he would pick me up about 7 and my interview would be an on the job interview and I would be paid for any work. When the owner picked me up we then drove all around the greater Cincinnati area, our first objective was to find a store open that sold 50ft ladders, there were no stores open so we continued to drive around. As the day progressed I was led to believe I was going to hired. The owner gave me a shirt to wear and told his wife to order me shirts in my size then proceeded to explain that I can not be on the major job sites until he adds me to his insurance, I did however partake in removing an extremely old unit out of a house that was being renovated ( we did more work than talk about the job I was being offered). Upon being dropped off at the meijer I was picked up at the owner assured me he would have his wife cut me a check for the work I had done today and that he will give me a call in about a week after he finished a big job he had been working on. So I waited a week for a call and a check and to no avail I have not received either a call or check. I then decided to call back (maybe he had forgotten in the mist of being so busy) I got no answer so I left a voice mail and waited for a call back two days passed so I called again. This time I got an answer, the man apologized and continued to explain he was still working on the same job and his wife was cutting me a check and sending it in the mail and that he would call me in a week. So I waited. Another week passed still no check or call back. It has been about a month since the initial "interview" had taken place. I was used for work and led on to believe I was to be hired.
