I interviewed with the same group at Cree twice, separated by two years. They didn't give me an offer either time. I was optimistic the second time, because why would the same group want to interview me again, only 2 years later, unless they regretted not hiring me the first time? On the way to the interview, the airline lost my luggage and I was forced to give a presentation in front of several engineers in a conference room wearing the same sweat pants I wore on the airplane. You would think that would count for something, but no, no offer the second time either. Recruiters at Cree have emailed me several times over the last few years, and I don't reply to them. Cree is like Lucy in Peanuts to me now, and I'm Charlie Brown. I'm not going to try to kick that ball again. Also, at the lunch, during the second interview, the director of their R&D department vibed out as a really arrogant guy, surrounded by yes-men. Maybe I lucked out not getting an offer, because I would have been joining a cult of personality.

my interview experience was very positive. I heard back within 24 hrs from the recruiter after each interview session, and the interview process was clear to me from the beginning.
