My interview process was a slow burn. It took just over a month. While the process itself turned out to be longer than other interview processes I was in at the time, YipIt’s was the one I ended up being most excited about. When I got the offer and accepted I felt good about my decision. At that point, I’d learned enough about the company, and my future colleagues to be comfortable.
I applied online and heard back pretty quickly. The recruitment coordinator was clear about the process which for me was:
1. Phone screening
2. Follow up conversation
3. Take home exercise
4. Panel interview
5. Final conversation
When I got the opportunity to do the take-home exercise I was excited. It was the first time I started to see myself at the company - and also the moment when I was like “Wow I hope I get this job.”
Overall the process was clear. The team is warm and welcoming, and the interview process helped me understand what I was getting myself into, and what I could expect if I came to the company.

Why YipItData (the most important question in my opinion)

The process was thoughtful and well structured. Everyone I spoke with was genuinely welcoming and easy to talk to. You could tell the process was designed to make sure it was a good fit for both the candidate and the company, not just one sided.
I had conversations with the hiring manager, the team, and senior leadership. Communication was clear throughout, and the recruiter was responsive and easy to work with. There was also a take home exercise after the 2nd interview, which I appreciated because it gave me a real sense of the work and the team’s priorities.
