J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez YouView (Londres, Angleterre) en sept. 2015

      Entretien

      - Telephone Interview on the 10th of September 2015 - Interview at the office on the 14th of September 2015 - Received final response on the 2nd of October 2015 (had to chase it!) I was extremely disappointment about the appalling way in which the whole interview process has been conducted. After having had the two interviews (above) I was told that I had to complete a design task in an email sent to me from the recruiter on a Friday at the end of the working day without giving me the chance to be able to reply. Design brief of which I knew nothing about. Despite having already had one telephone interview with the recruiter, one interview with the head of design and one follow up with the recruiter again in the office, it was never mentioned once. It wouldn't have been a problem if not for the fact that they had the nerve to ask to get it done during the weekend! It seemed like they urgently needed that design brief, at first I thought it was because they wanted to hire me quickly but I was rather confused and quite amazed by such request. They hadn't even hired me yet but they were already asking me to do work during the weekend? Speechless... I than spoke with another internal recruiter explaining him my point of view. In any case, despite how everything was handled up to this point, I still completed the task the very next Monday morning and sent it over with a lot of documentation. This was on the 21st of September: It took them eleven days to get back to me on a design brief which could have been reviewed in about 20 minutes! This is still not the main issue here tho. What really annoys me beyond belief is that they wittingly kept me waiting and waiting already knowing that I wasn't the ideal candidate they were looking for. One day while waiting for their feedback on my design task I was looking on linkedin for similar visual designer roles and guess what? I found the same exact job title posted only 13 hours earlier! On the phone when I asked them why they advertised the Visual Designer role on linkedin they told me that I got confused (silly me!) and the specific job ad was for a "part-time" role and that I was better suited for the full time role which was more digital between the two. I went back on the site and I clicked on "Other Details" and in the field "Employment Type" it was reported "Full-time". Moreover I only found out that my design was rejected because I told them that I already received another offer from a different company, so they had to give me their feedback on my design task. I had to chase them via email and phone and every single time the recruiter would give me hope, asking for the details of the offer I received in order for them to make a better one. Dreadful corporate behaviour. I honestly gave it all and this is what I got in return. A company wittingly keeping his candidates waiting for a response on their application whilst they keep on hiring further candidates to see if any of them is a better match. I can only and sincerely wish to the recruiter that you will find yourself in a similar situation one day, having to breath on the recruiter's neck in order to obtain an answer only to find out they were just keeping you "on hold" waiting for a better candidate to turn up. I highly discourage everybody applying at YouView.
