      Entretien

Everyone at ZoomInfo seemed really friendly and laid back. The initial interviews went well. I met a woman from HR and 3 other people. It was a long morning and I completed a short answer evaluation on a laptop at the end of the interviews. A few days later I was asked to write a sample blog. I did so and wrote a very solid, on brand piece free of errors. I sent it in and then...nothing...ever. I followed up after 1 week then 2 weeks and was completely ignored each time by HR. After all the hours I put into the interview and assignment, it was so incredibly rude that no one had time to send me a quick email to tell me I didn’t get the offer. Not a good look, ZoomInfo!

We are very sorry you had this experience. We care greatly about the candidate experience & knowing we were understaffed in our Talent Acquisition group (resulting in experiences like yours) we have have hired additional team members & hope to avoid this type of situation in the future.

      Entretien

I applied online and was asked to come in for an in-person interview a week later. There were red flags as soon as I walked into the door. I was initially greeted by a member of HR, who was very friendly, but when asking me more about myself, she wasn't aware that I didn't live in the area where they're located. This surprised me since I would have assumed it was her job was to pre-screen where candidates were coming from. I was then brought into a conference room where I was scheduled to meet with 5 people. First up was the hiring manager. She walked in, didn't even acknowledge me with a smile or a handshake, blew through a few short questions, spent more time talking about how her position was not the one she was originally hired to do, didn't seem happy about it, and then rushed out without even so much acknowledging me or thanking me for my time. Two members from her team then interviewed me one by one. They were much friendlier, professional, and at least asked more in-depth questions about my background. I was then told by the HR person that the 5th person, the director, didn't have time to meet with me. She then showed me out without asking me any further questions or anything that might have indicated potential next steps. Not even 15 minutes after I had left, I received a generic e-mail from the HR person saying they had decided to go with another candidate. This confirmed to me that I was never a serious candidate even before I walked into the door, and that they probably brought me in just to fulfill an interviewing quota. When I arrived back home a few hours later, I checked the company's Glassdoor reviews, and wished that I had earlier. I read similar negative interview experiences for this position that stated this same hiring manager spent more time looking at her phone and texting while interviewing candidates, or how others had submitted writing samples, only to never hear back from anyone from the company after going through the added work and time. As someone else wrote in their review for this position, not a good look, ZoomInfo.
