There actually wasn’t a formal interview. I applied to the job on LinkedIn and the company had a different name. It was called Horizon Wellness and Lifestyle. I thought it was odd that I couldn’t find the company when I typed the name into google, but I thought I could find out more about the company through the interviews. For some
The recruiter only wanted to contact
Me through a WhatsApp call. And after speaking to them, I was invited to the zoom meetings. That’s where I found out the name of the real company, BHIP Global. I went to a number of zoom meetings where I met Micheal Sarfelt. It was a very strange experience. The first meeting was a 30 minute introduction to the company and there were 70 other people there too. Anyone who didn’t have their camera on was kicked out of the zoom call. We were then invited to a 4 hour training seminar about the role and products. When we went to the online seminar, they only spoke about the role and products briefly and they didn’t allow people to ask questions. On top of that throughout the zoom meetings we were required to have our camera on or be kicked out. It got even weirder when people were kicked out because they didn’t smile. They even put music on and pressured people to dance to it, and the people who didn’t were shamed in front of the entire group and then kicked out. Not only that but Michael, started talking about very inappropriate topics that made me very uncomfortable. At this point I couldn’t remember why I was even there. I had talked myself into because I thought I technically had nothing to loose. I thought I would be learning about dropshipping and marketing. But after I was kicked out for not dancing to the music, I felt relieved. It was a very toxic environment and most of the people in the meetings were young.
After the situation was over I realised we were all being taken advantage of and manipulated .
