I interviewed for a Business Analyst role at bolttech through an external recruiter.
The process started positively, with strong initial interest and several conversations involving different stakeholders. However, as the process progressed, the role became increasingly unclear. Although the position was presented as a Business Analyst role, the technical assignment was framed more like a Product Owner evaluation, and later conversations seemed to focus heavily on language fit and partner-market alignment rather than on a stable, well-defined BA scope.
The interviewers I spoke with were generally polite, but the overall process felt fragmented. There was limited clarity on the exact role boundaries, whether the position was closer to Business Analyst, Product Owner, delivery support, or partner-facing operational coordination. Communication also weakened significantly toward the end, with a long silence followed by a generic rejection.
My impression was that the company may have been hiring for a partner-specific or market-specific need where the scope was still evolving. That may be normal in a fast-growing insurtech environment, but from a candidate perspective the process felt poorly structured and did not provide enough transparency about the actual day-to-day responsibilities.
