Initial phone interview - I was excited about their company but the person who interviewed me seemed like he would rather be doing something else. He had been promoted and this position was now open to someone else. The company had never had anyone in HR until six months prior and they had over 100 employees. Again, I was genuinely excited about the opportunity but did not get enthusiasm in return. They said they would follow up by a certain date. They did not. I checked back in with my interviewer via email and then received a generic rejection email two days later.
