Recruiter screen consisted of a few questions that she typed answers to and sent off to the CEO directly. She said if I was selected to move to the next phase, it would be an interview with the CEO. I got an email the next day from the CEO herself, who, by the way, I cannot say enough good things about. When we met over Zoom, she was genuinely interested in me, my experience, and what made me interested in working for the organization she founded. She has very detailed questions about what my current bosses or coworkers would say about my work and my strengths and weaknesses from their viewpoint. Super insightful and questions unlike I had heard before that made me think on my feet and really prepare my answer internally before saying it. She moved me onto the next round, which was an interview with the project manager of the team. She seemed nice enough although she talked 2 million miles a minute. She peppered me with questions one after another, and I felt like I couldn’t really catch my breath in between which was either a tactic to trip me up or her personality in general. Suffice it to say that she had let me know that she wanted to move me to the next round, which was an interview with the CTO of the organization, and that I should hear back within a few days. Crickets. I never heard from anyone on the team again. They are a fairly small organization, which is why there’s not a ton of insight or info regarding interviews. Just wanted to give a little peek into what it look like in case there are other open reqs for AMs in the future.
