In October, our grassroots movement, Adevinta for Everyone (A4E), organised a multitude of global and local initiatives to honour and celebrate Black History Month while aligning with European countries and embracing the UK Black History Month's theme, "Saluting Our Sisters." Here's a glimpse of our initiatives: 🎤 Adevinta Bytes Session: We kicked off with an enlightening virtual session led by Jessica de Abreu, delving into the history of racism and intersectional theory. 🌍 Local Engagement: Our global hubs came together for impactful in-person events: - Our Paris hub hosted a thought-provoking discussion on inclusion in the fashion industry with journalist Mélody Thomas. - Our Amsterdam hub screened "Hidden Figures," perfectly fitting the theme of "Saluting our Sisters." - Ten Adevintans attended the Black Achievement Awards in Amsterdam. 📚 A4E Corner: We're creating dedicated spaces in each hub, filled with books, board games, and more focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 🎉 We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Berlin office, OPD (Oberpostdirektion)! ✨ Last week, we celebrated a significant milestone with colleagues dressed in 1920s attire, bringing jazz and glamour to the evening. Our new Berlin office, originally built in the 1920s, is now a protected monument. We can’t wait to create, innovate and grow together in this remarkable space! Located in the vibrant Charlottenburg neighbourhood, this innovative space offers: -326 workstations -21 Meeting/Conference Rooms -6 Collaboration Corners & 2 Collaborative Spaces -A Rooftop Terrace -E-charging stations -9 Focus Rooms, Quiet, regular, and call areas on every floor -Fantastic amenities: Table Football, Pool, Table Tennis, PlayStation, and more! 🚗 Our unique Collaboration Area, designed like a car dealership, includes a 98-inch screen and a “dream car wall” showcasing our employees’ favourites. 👏 A special thanks to everyone who made this day a success!
