Start the week with a bang, they say. 🎇 So, here’s me lighting the touch paper. I’m thrilled that Cooper Parry has just exchanged on our eighth deal in 16 months. 8️⃣ ⚡️ And this one’s the acquisition of the fast-growing (like 70% YoY quick) London-based tech consultancy Cloud Orca. As soon as we started talking, we knew the fit was spot on. ✅ They are the ‘go-to’ for Salesforce, the CRM global leader, for the likes of Revolut, Chilly’s, Monzo Bank, Unum and Starling Bank. Strategically, they’re the perfect anchor firm for us to launch into the digital and tech space. ⚓️ Culturally, they fit like a glove too. As we target growth to £250m turnover in 12 months, this is a cracking way to take another massive stride forward. ⏭️ It’s wonderful to welcome CEO Edward Rowland, COO Tony Di Carlo and all the talented Cloud Orca team on board. A HAT-TRICK OF AWARDS 🏆 ✨ Last week, we came home from the UK Company Culture Awards with three prizes. The awards “recognise the organisations that nurture their workforce, reward their staff, and create an environment that proves everyone is valued”. And that’s why we’re pleased as punch to say: 🏆 Our 100-80-100 initiative won ‘Best Flexible Working Policy’ 🏆 We won ‘Best HR Team of the Year’ 🏆 And a personal award went to the brilliant Caroline Jones, our HR Director, who was crowned ‘HR Professional of the Year’. New trophies on the mantelpiece are always a cause for celebration. But we’re even happier that the hard work we’re putting into creating an award-winning culture is paying off.
SIMON SAYS A BIG HELLO 👋 Meet our newest Partner & Head of Indirect Tax, Simon Shaw. Simon brings over 25 years of experience in the Indirect Tax space, with particular expertise in the retail, automotive and leisure sectors. His arrival adds more impetus to our lightning-fast growth journey. ⚡️ Since joining, Simon has expressed his intention to expand the Indirect Tax team. This is an exciting next step.
