Allie’s Fleet Feet journey began nearly six years ago at our Plano store, where she helped establish the store as a Team Lead and Inventory Coordinator. In 2022, she joined the Store Support Team as a Data Coordinator, opening the door to new opportunities within the Purchasing Team. Since then, Allie has grown through two buying roles, most recently stepping into her current position as Footwear Buyer, where she continues to expand and strengthen our digital buying strategies for fleetfeet.com.
✨Employee Spotlight✨ This month, we’re excited to feature Wendy Miller, Retail Experience Manager at Fleet Feet Lakeland Wendy’s Fleet Feet story began 13 years ago at the Lakeland store back when the team was part of another local running shop. What started as a simple day-shift role while her two daughters were in school quickly grew into something more. When the store manager left, Wendy naturally stepped in to help, taking on more and more responsibility. After nearly a year of leading the team she officially stepped into the manager position and hasn’t looked back since. Today, Wendy continues to bring her steady leadership, passion for people, and love for her community to the Lakeland store. Her journey is a true testament to growth, heart, and commitment. Q: What is your favorite thing about your role? A: My favorite thing about my role is being able to guide and help the staff be the best versions of themselves. I love helping all people! Q: What is the most valuable career advice you've been given? A: The most valuable career advice I've been given is to love what you do at work. You only live one life and you spend most of your time at work. Q: What’s one thing you wish you'd known when you started working at Fleet Feet or what advice would you give to a newbie? A: Be genuinely curious about your customer/team member. If you don't know the answer it's ok! Ask questions to understand.
✨ Employee Spotlight ✨ This month, we’re thrilled to feature Corey Birchmeier, Operating Partner at Fleet Feet Traverse City, MI! Corey joined Fleet Feet in August 2022 as a Retail Experience Manager and, after three years of hard work and dedication, became the Operating Partner of Fleet Feet Traverse City — a role he’s proudly held for the past two and a half years. Corey’s passion for both his customers and coworkers shines through in everything he does. Here’s a little more about Corey 👇 Q: What’s your favorite thing about your role? A: Being able to make a difference every day! Q: What are you currently excited about in your job? A: I have a great team in Traverse City. We have some exciting ideas for 2026. I think we’re going to accomplish some really fun things! Q: What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on? A: My presence as a leader. Q: What’s the most valuable career advice you’ve been given? A: “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” Q: What’s your go-to productivity trick? A: Work always feels easier after a walk around the block! It’s easy to get overwhelmed or lose focus but a quick 3–5 minute walk helps me reset and refocus. Q: What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why? A: Hard work — I’ve always been someone who puts 110% into everything I do. While that can mean long hours at times, it’s led to a lot of wins both personally and professionally.

Avery’s Fleet Feet journey began in 2021 after he moved to Durham, N.C., where a shoe fitting at Fleet Feet Durham made such a lasting impression that he wanted to join the team. He started as a part-time outfitter and quickly grew into leadership roles, including team lead, inventory coordinator and retail experience manager. In 2024, Avery took on a new challenge at our Distribution Center, where he now leads the inbound team. We’re grateful for his dedication and the energy he brings to Fleet Feet every day. "Since joining the inbound team as a Team Lead about a month ago, Avery has greatly improved our receiving process and increased our throughput. Q: What is the best career advice you’ve been given? A: The goal as a leader should be to help build people and systems that persist and excel in your absence. Q: What trait do you most attribute your success to, and why? A: Intellectual curiosity. I strive to understand the “why” and “how”—why this shoe works (or doesn’t) for this runner, how changing one inventory process affects three others. That drive, and the pursuit of making others’ experiences frictionless, guide my actions.
Employee Spotlight: We’re thrilled to shine this month’s Employee Spotlight on Sergey Voronkin, Operating Partner, Fleet Feet Seattle. Sergey’s career spans IT, entrepreneurship, and retail leadership. He began in IT, advancing to Head of IT for a manufacturing company before launching his own franchise running school. After moving to the U.S., he combined his passion for running with business management, working in retail and coaching. In 2023, he joined Fleet Feet Seattle as Inventory Manager and Run Club leader, and later stepped into his current role as Operating Partner for the Seattle market. "In all he does, Sergey leads with care, passion, and great attention to detail. Since taking the Operating Partner role in the fall of 2024, Sergey has developed a cohesive team, strong training programs, led the largest Big Run event in Fleet Feet history, all while making sure every customer and employee that walks through his door feels seen and cared for. Brandy’s Fleet Feet journey began as a customer at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah. Her passion for running and community quickly led her into the business. She first stepped into leadership as a Retail Experience Manager at Fleet Feet Plano, then brought her expertise to Fleet Feet Sports Decatur. Today, Brandy thrives as an Operating Partner of two Fleet Feet locations in Georgia, Decatur and Peachtree City, where she continues to elevate the customer experience and empower her teams. Her passion for Fleet Feet’s mission was clear from the start. In November 2018, she officially joined the team as an Accounting Admin Assistant and quickly made her mark. Through hard work and a constant drive to grow, Savannah advanced through multiple roles and now thrives in Vendor Management. We're thrilled to share that David Worth has joined Fleet Feet Asheville as the Operating Partner! David brings an incredible depth of retail experience, from driving profitability to energizing teams and creating impactful community events. His leadership is sure to help Asheville’s running community continue to thrive! A few words from David, "I live in Asheville, NC, with my wife, son, and two dogs, and I’m passionate about getting outside—especially running and hiking. Over the years, I’ve accumulated some unforgettable experiences on the trails, from hiking the Appalachian Trail to covering every trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park and competing in ultramarathons up to 100 miles. I also love giving back through Carolina Mountain Club, helping maintain the trails we all enjoy. Before joining Fleet Feet, I spent over a decade in outdoor retail, most recently leading a successful new store opening where we built a strong customer service culture and connected deeply with the community. I’m beyond excited to bring that same energy to Fleet Feet Asheville and look forward to growing this amazing community together!" Welcome to the team, David! Employee Spotlight: Jesse Puck, Operating Partner, Fleet Feet Mishawaka This week, Fleet Feet is proud to highlight Jesse Puck, whose journey with the company began in 2014. Jesse started as a part-time outfitter while balancing a full-time career in corporate wellness. The role allowed him to merge his passion for running with his professional life. After a brief move out of state, he returned to Fleet Feet in 2021 as the training programs coordinator, a position that laid the foundation for his growth within the company. His dedication and leadership ultimately led him to his current role as operating partner. "Jesse's drive and competitive spirit inspire everyone around him," said Scout Carlone, district manager. "He’s known for creating a little friendly competition among his peers, pushing his team to be their best while always striving to outdo himself. True to his roots in coaching, he embodies our core value of inspiring the runner in everyone." In 2024, Jesse launched a race series for the Mishawaka-South Bend region, creating meaningful results for both the business and the running community. The series successfully brought runners together and introduced many new faces to the sport. We look forward to seeing Jesse and the Mishawaka team continue to grow in 2025!

Ann has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, mentoring future leaders, and driving sales growth. Let’s hear it from Ann herself: “I live in Lawrence, KS, have three amazing children, and have been running since middle school. My first job was in retail, and I've been fortunate to build a career that combines my love for running, business and leading people. As a District Manager with Fleet Feet, I’m excited to support my teams, inspire others and help grow a brand that aligns so closely with my personal and professional passions.” Dame Haight will support our stores in the Southeast region. Dame brings a wealth of experience in team development and optimizing operations and has a strong focus on continuous improvement. Let’s hear it from Dame himself: “I recently moved to the Asheville, NC area. I spent the last decade in retail, where leadership development, visual merchandising, community engagement and championing DEI initiatives took the helm. Outside of work, I’m an avid lover of the outdoors, reading, traveling, being on the water, and spending time with family.
