💛💛💛STAFF APPRECIATION POST!💛💛💛 Several homes across MHA have been giving out long service awards to colleagues as recognition for their hard work and dedication.🥂 The longs service awards are given to staff when they reach 5,10,15, and 20+ years of service.😃 Its a great way to show our appreciation to colleagues working day and night in ensuring our residents live later life well 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 we have someone working in one of our homes that has been with us for more than 40+ years!😮
Denis Hilton lives at the Altrincham home and celebrated his 104th birthday with close family and friends.
Matthew Hunt, the groom, who works at the Ripley home decided to pay for a live stream service which enabled the staff and residents at the home to watch the ceremony.
“It's very rare to have a twin birthday party and it's something we are all very proud of here at MHA Moorland House." said home manager Shirley Reece-Johnson
The sessions, which are free of cost, take place every Monday between 10:30 to 12:00pm and are aimed at young children between the ages of 0-4 years.
A special mention was given to the work culture and mentioned how the home has a clear focus on the provision of quality care, with very good systems of support throughout, fostering a positive culture where people and staff feel they belong.
The Northampton home managed to raise more than £650 during their Christmas fayre and had been thinking of the idea of a pergola for just over a year but didn't have the funds.
It's the first time MHA Handsworth, which provides residential care for 43 residents, has won the award.
🌟Meet Angel🌟 Angel has been working at MHA Lauriston since she was 17 whilst studying for her Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. After completing her qualification, Angel said "joining the home full time was a very easy decision for me as I was made to feel very welcome". Three years later, Angel hopes to continue to climb the career ladder and one day become a senior carer.
The team beat off competition from over 100 care home and were lauded for their outstanding dedication and excellence in providing high quality, safe and enjoyable meals for residents with Dysphagia. Well done MHA Weston and Queensway!
