Part of the RGE group, APRIL has been accepted to join North Carolina State University’s Plant Sciences Innovation Hub. The Hub enables our 270-person R&D team to work alongside researchers and industry leaders to develop science-based solutions to challenges facing the forestry sector - climate change, deforestation, and ecosystem degradation. This collaboration stems from a shared vision to create positive impact on nature, and society, with the potential to accelerate our sustainability initiatives and contribute to global environmental efforts.
Last month, colleagues and partners from across RGE business groups spent time at Singapore cheshire home for our first 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 volunteering event of 2026, held in the spirit of Chinese New Year. The programme brought together employees who spent their working hours with residents, celebrating tradition and sharing meaningful moments. Moments like these remind us that businesses exist within communities. We conduct our businesses under our founder’s 5Cs philosophy: to do good for the community, country, climate and customers, and only then will it be good for the company. It is a principle that guides not only how we operate our businesses, but also how we give back. Golden Hearts is one of four quarterly volunteer initiatives planned for 2026. Each gathering is a chance for our colleagues to step outside the workplace and contribute directly to the wellbeing of the communities around us. Sateri recently hosted five youths from Singapore under the Singapore-China Youth Interns Exchange Scheme (YES). Jointly led by Singapore’s Ministry of Education, China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and 通商中国 Business China, this bilateral programme gives young people from both countries immersive overseas experiences to build cross-cultural understanding, industry skills, and lasting networks. These interns gained exposure across Sateri’s value chain - from viscose fibre product development and supply chain, to sales and account management. “Teamwork is paramount here – colleagues across functions collaborate closely, especially when handling customer order modifications or shipping adjustments between different factories,” observed Perion Lim, a Maritime Studies student from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. For others, it was the focus on sustainability that was the biggest takeaway. “The emphasis on environmental protection and low-carbon practices far exceeded my expectations,” says Lim Jun Yi, a Business Administration student from National University of Singapore. Part of the RGE group of companies, Sateri is proud to support YES and nurture youths today to foster a deeper understanding of cross-border economies and culture, helping to build a more sustainable and connected tomorrow. #Sateri#YouthInternsExchangeScheme#Internship#Sustainability
As part of 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, RGE Singapore employees came together for a day of service, engaging persons with disabilities from Singapore Cheshire Home on a shopping outing, and connecting with seniors from Geylang East Home For The Aged through arts and crafts and a trip to PLQ Mall. Spending time with the residents and creating simple moments of joy reminded us that giving back is not only an act, it is a mindset of empathy and respect. This year also marks the start of a year-long partnership with National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Geylang and Serangoon (operated by Care Community Services Society). At RGE, Founder’s Day reflects the values our Chairman has long championed, that business success must go hand in hand with uplifting lives. When we serve our Community, Country, Climate, and Customers, we create value that ultimately strengthens our Company. We are grateful to all our volunteers, partners, and community organisations for making this Founder’s Day truly special. Together, we continue building a more inclusive and caring society. #FoundersDay#GoodforCommunity#Philanthropy#CommunityService

Woodfibre LNG is leading the way in marine conservation by taking proactive, scientifically-informed steps to protect marine mammals in Howe Sound who rely on sound for navigation, communication, and feeding activities. Woodfibre LNG, a member of the RGE Group of companies, has partnered with the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) to co-develop a Marine Mammal Monitoring and Mitigation Plan to protect the health of marine life using innovative technologies like bubble curtains to absorb underwater noise and vibratory piling to reduce sound disturbance. Furthermore, a hydro-acoustic monitoring programme protects marine mammals within exclusion zones, where a team of trained experts from Squamish Nation and other environmental professionals are prepared to halt construction work if marine mammals are detected nearby. This collaborative approach ensures the timely protection of marine life while maintaining respect for the cultural and ecological significance of Howe Sound. Transformed from an old farmhouse, the Migratory Bird Bookhouse is the first bird conservation-themed rural library in Jiangxi. Set up in a joint partnership between Sateri and Conservation International, the Bookhouse houses more than 400 books, interactive displays, and bird specimens. The Migratory Bird Bookhouse, along with the Great Swan Bookhouse established at Kangshan Primary School, were both selected by the Chinese Society of Forestry to be part of China’s Nature Library Collection. Other than providing a space for children’s extracurriculars and bird-watching activities, they also serve to foster awareness and promote biodiversity at Poyang Lake, China’s largest freshwater lake. This helps further Sateri’s efforts in restoring and conserving the vital ecosystem of Poyang Lake, protecting the livelihoods of more than 45 million people and critically endangered local species. Read on to learn more about how the two Bookhouses contribute to nationwide efforts in wetland conservation and education. #Conservation#Sateri#EnvironmentalResponsibility
Enhancing safety and connectivity for two key regions, Pacific Canbriam Energy is proud to announce the official opening of the Haystack Road Bridge in Northeastern B.C. Canada. Part of the RGE group of companies, Pacific Canbriam Energy (PCE) took ownership of the previous bridge after it became apparent that it had become structurally unsound. With strong support from the community, PCE replaced and upgraded the Haystack Road Bridge, eliminating a two-hour detour and creating a crucial route during wildfires and emergencies, improved access to industrial locations, healthcare, education, and Indigenous communities, as well as safe passage for ranchers herding cattle. The new Haystack Road Bridge links Hudson’s Hope and Fort St. John to the Altares Processing Facility and Kobes region, strengthening connectivity and the communities in which we operate. “This bridge is a transformative improvement for the region, made possible by collaboration and shared commitment,” said Kevin Hall, PCE’s construction superintendent. “It stands as a testament to the power of collaboration. We look forward to the continued positive impact this infrastructure will have on the community and environment.” Because while we work to power and energise the world, we also work to do what is good for the community.
Ten years of safeguarding forests and empowering villages to prevent and combat forest fires. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP), a part of APRIL Group, held a Coordination Meeting with 52 Forest Protection Rangers across five districts, conducting trainings on fire monitoring and suppression skills, community agricultural self-sufficiency, and developing a mindset of forest and land protection in their villages. “I joined the Forest Protection Ranger Programme because my child was affected by Acute Respiratory Infection caused by forest and land fires,” shared Ihsan Kusnaidi, a Ranger from Langgam Village, Pelalawan. “That’s what moves me to be part of the ranger team.” The ranger team is a symbol of the positive synergy shared between the company and the community in the shared goal of maintaining forest sustainability. Up to 2024, RAPP has partnered with 42 villages in Riau Province, covering over 902,870 hectares of ground. Along the way, the programme has developed from a fire prevention team to a conservation programme that monitors logging, poaching, air quality, and holds conversations with the community on the dangers of land burning. After participating in the Coordination Meeting, the Rangers will be relaying the new information and techniques to their respective villages and communities, bringing full circle the goal of realising zero fires, not just for today, but for future years to come.
