Built to last, designed to lead. As our longest client, SSOE has partnered with Ford Motor Company for more than a generation to shape the future of American manufacturing. Our latest collaboration—a $1.75B design-build project—nearly doubled the Ohio Assembly Plant, scaling EV production across three municipalities. The expansion consolidated body and final assembly shops, improved logistics, and is set to create 1,800 new jobs. Completed on time and within budget, the project logged 1.7M hours with safety performance 50% better than industry averages, earning Engineering News-Record Midwest’s 2025 Best Manufacturing Project honor. #SSOEmidwest

Chosen for our expertise in both healthcare and government design, SSOE reimagined over 18,000 square feet of outdated dorm-style space at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center campus into something far more powerful for 700,000 veterans: a place that feels more like home than hospital. We believe those who’ve served deserve a space that serves them. With private rooms, upgraded life safety systems, family spaces, and warm finishes, every detail was designed to restore dignity. #VeteransDay
Today, we honor the heroes among us. Across 14 U.S. offices, SSOE proudly employs 57 veterans who have served our nation with courage and now serve our clients with the same sense of purpose and discipline. Their leadership strengthens our culture, their perspectives shape our innovation, and their commitment inspires us all. In recognition of their sacrifice, we’re partnering with Veterans Matter to help veterans experiencing homelessness find permanent housing. SSOE’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) were designed to celebrate individuality and amplify the unique contributions of employees across gender, culture, faith, orientation, and career stage. For this year's #NationalSTEMDay, they united around a shared foundation: STEM. All six of SSOE’s ERGs pooled their resources to collectively contribute $10,000 to BUILDING BLOCKS 2 SUCCESS (BB2S), a Portland-based nonprofit dedicated to opening doors to STEM education for underrepresented youth.
