We've got a lot of celebrations over here at Spring Valley Hospital! 🎉 ⭐️ Congratulations to our STARS of the month ⭐️ ✨ Amanda, Speech Therapist, has been instrumental in training our new staff and deserves recognition for her dedication to her job and the department. ✨ Dena, RN, Emergency Department, for her work with critical patients, and nominated by a colleague who shared – "She is someone I have been able to lean on and help you think through a process. She is super helpful in codes and loves to teach." ✨ Our Pharmacy team earned the quarterly All STARS award for excellent teamwork and achievement of department goals. 🌼 Congratulations to our DAISY award winner 🌼 ✨ Nene, RN, Intermediate Care Unit, nominated by a patient's family member – "Nene was fabulous and took such good care of him. She was careful when she had to move him for any reason, she treated him with dignity, and she explained things when he asked questions….I really appreciate her professional kindness."

Congratulations to Kim C., RN, Director of Quality Management! 🎉 Kim celebrated her 25th anniversary with Spring Valley Hospital and The Valley Health System on January 11th. She began her #LifeAtVHS journey at Valley Hospital in 1999 and worked in multiple departments, including cardiac medical/surgical, intermediate care, cardiac catheterization outpatient, and intensive care units. In 2004, she transitioned into Education and assisted with onboarding and internship training programs with VHS. In 2018, she moved to the Quality department and joined the Spring Valley Hospital team in 2022. She enjoys collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and connecting with patients and families and has had the pleasure of meeting and working with numerous employees and physicians during her tenure. Kim received the Southern Nevada Nurse of the Year award in the education category, DAISY, and Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce awards. She participated in the VHS tuition reimbursement program and achieved her MSN in Education in 2013. Kim shared she loves to work for The Valley Health System because it is like family.
