The IT Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization's information technology systems and infrastructure. This role ensures that IT strategies are aligned with business objectives, enhances operational efficiency, and promotes innovation through the effective use of technology.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Systems Management:

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware (e.g., servers, PCs, laptops, printers) and software (OS, applications, licenses).
  • Ensure seamless operation of IT infrastructure, including LAN/Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, telecommunications, and cloud services.
  • Manage and monitor network performance, security, and reliability, addressing bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot core banking systems, databases, and third-party integrations.


Cybersecurity & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies (e.g., access controls, encryption, endpoint protection) to safeguard data and systems against breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., NDIC, CBN guidelines for MFBs) and conduct periodic security audits.
  • Keep antivirus (Bitdefender), firewalls, and system patches up to date across all devices.
  • Secure physical and digital access to server rooms, sensitive systems, and confidential data.


User Support & Governance:

  • Resolve IT issues within SLA timelines, providing L1/L2 support for hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password policies via Active Directory or equivalent tools.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation (e.g., system configurations, SOPs, disaster recovery plans).
  • Conduct staff training on IT policies, security best practices, and new tools (e.g., Zoho Suite, banking software).


Strategic & Operational Duties:

  • Plan and execute IT projects (e.g., system upgrades, cloud migrations, digital transformation initiatives).
  • Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts (ISP, software licenses), and procurement of equipment/supplies.
  • Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and incident reports to recommend improvements.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including regular backups and testing.


Requirements:

  • Minimum BSC
  • 4 years of previous experience in a similar role
