    Avantages

    - Friendly atmosphere and camaraderie among highly skilled professionals with great work ethic that care for their craft

    - Freedom to use the latest and greatest technologies to tackle technically challenging problems

    - Mostly flat structure with not much politics, at least within the Athens office (less so in the company as a whole)

    - Central easily accessible location, flexible schedule, low pressure environment

    - Nice benefits, private health insurance and salary paid on time (sadly that's a pro instead of a given in Greece these days)

    Inconvénients

    - Several large strategy and management changes over the years (restructures, acquisitions, etc), leading to uncertaintly, lack of focus and low morale

    - Occasional, if not frequent, friction among teams in remote locations, "us vs them" mentality and toxicity

    - Non-trivial amounts of technical debt, mostly due to inherited codebases from remote teams & acquisitions

    - The company has slowly drifted away from its startup roots to more and more bureaucratic and "enterprisey" over time:

      - Project estimates are often measured in weeks/months/quarters instead of hours/days.

      - Meetings, meetings to decide on further meetings and more meetings, sprinkled generously with buzz words and jargon that has seeped into everyday vernacular

      - Paying lip-service to "agile" with standups, retrospectives, etc. but mostly feels like going through the motions of cargo cult rituals

    Avantages

    - Cakes, cookies, free food that the startup normally provides.
    - Some very talented employees (both business and tech sides) developed high quality solutions, but they are all gone. The poor quality legacy solutions are still alive for already many years. So it enables you to learn the beauty of the high quality by using the legacy with pain.
    - The company does marketing itself very frequently in many places although you will not find what this company can achieve in the blogpost, as there is no explaination about how to achieve it. It does not mean the company has no good products, just the marketing is doing marketing for marketing
    -If you like army-style, this company would fit you well. Let's say one wants you to focus on A, the other wants you to focus on B, and another wants you to focus on C. At the end, the worst decision won this battle because that person has higher rank, and no communication with the lower ranks happened.

    Inconvénients

    Management treats employees as enemy and they are not transparent to the employees at all. They will tell you something completely different than what they are planning to, and you will figure it out after several months. Either what you work on will completely not be used meanwhile they already know it, or they claim it in public that they emphasis on this project but at the same time they plan to remove this project

    Be transparent to your employees.
    Find a real vision of the company, as there is none.

    Avantages

    You will find great people there. Also, if you are looking for startup-like benefits such as free breakfast, free drinks and cool office space, you will find it there. But those things are soon overshadowed by bad culture in some departments (not all).

    Inconvénients

    In my personal experience, there is no meritocracy or professional growth based on performance. It is mostly internal politics. You will find hardworking employees being pushed down and being overworked, while "bros" from high management seem to promote themselves regularly. You will also see "cringey" relationships between management and outspoken female employees resulting in favouritism.

    Finally, in this industry (mobile advertising), in general, you will often be asked to do or say things that will possibly be on the grey area of ethics/moral for other industry standards (not necessarily this company).

    Conseils à la direction

    I would advice anyone looking at this to watch out for the excellent but superficial reviews in a short period of time (January).

    My advice is to hire managers with experience leading People.

    Office was good looking

    Inconvénients

    Very bad management. People are fired easily.
    If you want to work with stupid managers only, welcome to apply! Don't forget to practice how to bootlick, this is the way to get promotion and increase salary!
