Avantages
When I came to Kiwi.com, everything was really great. But in last two months after GA acquisition it's going worse and worse. - nice benefits - mac, phone, multisport
Inconvénients
- Two main bosses in Prague were fired in one day for no specific reason (or nobody knows it). They started office in Prague and everybody liked them a lot. - Many people are leaving (also because of ^^^) - I asked to buy conference ticket 5 months ago and right not it's sold out and I still don't have a ticket or any info - It used to be additional salaries every quarter, but it will be probably cancelled from... GA acquisition
DéroulerConseils à la direction
Dear management, if you don't want to start exodus of the developers, you should start to take care of them. Everything in Prague's office was totally fine just 1-2 months ago and right now the mood in the office is totally different. Please don't let it happen.

Avantages
dog-friendly office and nice people
Inconvénients
unclear vision, mission, and strategy, major strategic decisions keep changing constantly, lacking any values, too much politics, unprofessional management
Conseils à la direction
You need to handle the growth fast, stabilize the company and set up a new culture. You need to set a clear strategy, communicate and execute it, hire professionals and managers with actual experience. Get rid of people with decision-making rights who have no idea what they are doing. Get rid of the politics and hiring and protecting people based on friendship, not based on their performance and expertise. Review... the work of HR as some very incompetent people were hired to high positions, there are still no values in place, the culture is everything but managed. You have to realize the company is not a startup anymore. It is a corporation with its pros and cons and you have to treat it that way. And also - it is always about the people. Even if you have the best idea in the world, without other people you cannot make it happen. You should always bear that in mind.

Kiwi.com is young and fast progressing company. So you always have good opportunities in work and always have new ambitious problems to solve.
Inconvénients
Some projects could be cancelled before the finish and it is very sad. Sometimes you have to wait forever before something is done. There is not direct rules about career or salary, so you can't see the correlation between your results and your salary.

Nothing anymore. Maybe still some nice people.
Inconvénients
Unclear vision and strategy, launching useless projects without asking experts and calling it later “failing fast”. If you’re not friends with the right people and won’t say “yes” to everything what they want, don’t expect too much. The company is just acting chaotic and then panicking about financial results, without caring for people, culture and work-life balance. Kiwi is promoting wrong people to higher... positions, accepting their behaviour like bullying people, making jokes of others, being rude, unprofessional and two-faced. No one cares about ESAT, feedback or promoting good leaders. You can be fired anytime, your position might be cancelled, your development plans zeroed and - who needs learning and development? Kiwi doesn’t. Who needs good, experienced leaders? Not Kiwi. Today you’re here, tomorrow not anymore. Decisions are made from one day to another, no one knows, what will happen next - no one considers if you have a family and are willing to travel for weeks - they can tell you on Monday, that you're travelling on Friday. Everyone is afraid to speak in meetings and some people will do everything to please the most powerful people. If you think Kiwi will allow you to learn, do mistakes and improve, you’re wrong. The company doesn’t respect its own people. CEO is getting drunk on the company parties or coming with heavy hangover to the office. This is probably leading by example. People are being fired because Kiwi needs to improve the financial results, or someone very important didn’t like them - don't expect any transparency in communication. No money for learning, no money for vacation (just 4 weeks), no development support, no support even from the higher management, as they’re just immune towards authentic leadership. Most of the C-Level and Directors are just arrogant people in darkness. A bunch of ignorants, that cares only about their salaries and prestige. If you consider joining Kiwi, don’t do it - stay away from this toxic environment.

RecommandePoint de vue positifPas d'avis sur le PDGJe travaille chez Kiwi.com à temps plein
Avantages
- really experienced and motivated people - contributing to open-source - using modern technologies - projects which make sense - nice benefits (laptop, phone, multisport, breakfasts, fruits...) - good salary - Prague's office feels like a startup (Michal and Martin who lead Prague office are really capable) - internal workshops, team buildings and lot of beer
Inconvénients
- bad coffee (people have to buy their own coffee beans and coffee machines because they don't like the official ones) - bureaucracy (sometimes you can feel that kiwi.com is also a big corporation, e. g. super slow and ineffective conference approvals - you have to wait months for the tickets and usually they are sold out or prices are doubled) - HR (hiring process took 4 weeks and sometimes I didn't know what's... happening. Also my friends who wanted to join kiwi had similar experience)

Kiwi can't keep up with the growth and corporate life. Top management reminds about good start-up days but these passed a long time ago. Also, the buzz word in the company is transparency, however, management hides reasons why some people are gone during the same day. Developers seem to have a sweet life, all others struggle though.
Conseils à la direction
Care less about your chair but more about people under you. Don't forget that it's not only about money but also people that work for you, people who lose faith in the company you try to desperately save by yourself.
