    Avantages

On starting with Peninsula more than 5 years ago, it seemed like the company to be with, getting additional perks due to length of service, work hard and get the rewards, then it all stops, no pay increase.

    Inconvénients

Peninsula employees have to rely on referrals to make any difference to their pay, as in all the tome I have worked for the company I have not received 1 pay increase, not even to cover the cost of living.

    Conseils à la direction

Try to reduce staff turnover by giving at least a cost of living increase every now and again.

    Avantages

Good experience to a range of employment law and HR issues Friendly staff and atmosphere Transparent and clear incentives for promotion

    Inconvénients

Intense workload, pressure to do overtime, graduate training fee of £1200 if you leave within 2 years of joining

    Conseils à la direction

Look at waivering the training fee if someone has to leave for mitigating circumstances. If the fee is there to prevent graduates training and then leaving, look at graduate retention and increasing the starting salary to reflect the calibre of graduates. Whilst excellent training is provided, this company does micro manage you and expect far too much by way of presenteeism. There is pressure to do paid overtime to...

    Avantages

The training and learning and development staff are great

    Inconvénients

The company in itself is probably a really great company to work for as long as you aren’t in the Sales department on that dreadful floor six! The atmosphere is awful to the point where it is constant negativity surrounding you which is not what you need when pitching especially the shouting to “STAND UP!” And constant bickering swearing across the floor made by “Senior” managers to team managers. The call centre itself...

    Conseils à la direction

Actually speak with your staff with some respect and not like your some prison officer/school teacher and so many people would probably not leave...in three years here I’ve seen 80% of staff turnover and a lot of resignations is due to poor management.

    Avantages

    Inconvénients

Management is shocking, sell you the dream and don't deliver. The company need to invest more time into there employees instead of treating them like a number as its like a revolving door people coming and going constantly. BDMS are treated terribly they track your calls locations and micro manage you into making you poorly offer an EAP service to protect there own backsides. They also took on a pool of graduates...

    Conseils à la direction

Speak to your employees with respect instead of a piece of dirt . Pay commissions quicker that people have earned and worked hard on instead of making them wait nearly a whole year. Oh an then eventually sack them and don't pay them anything. Retain staff in the office and treat everybody with the same respect instead of discriminating employees and having favourites. Make patches fairer.

The most obvious is money. not the basic as that's similar to other sales jobs in and around Manchester. the real money made here is via commission. if I don't double my wage with the commission, I'm disappointed! Inconvénients

This is a tough sales job there's no getting away from that. I often read reviews good and bad and see that the management is often criticised for being tough. They are, but for the right reason. If you are willing to change and take on what's being said, then this place can work well. A lot of pressure to perform. strict on attendance etc
