Avantages
Great expirience to work for large clients, was a well run company with very generous pay reviews and bonuses untill q1 2022. Training budget is high so good place to upskill and learn new technologies. Fairly relaxed culture, no pressure to be in the office regulary or kiss up to management to advance career.
Inconvénients
Since GL merge has become far more profit driven, my bonus was cut by 4k per year, during a cost of living crisis as well! Pay rises are not up to expectations either, was a solid 10% per year at least, all with inflation at 1-2%. Now with the bonus changes 5% offered is an effective pay cut. Message used to be around billing for client, making money and earning bonus / pay based on that, now its become internal contributions, volunteering and other D and I based rubbish. Work life balance is poor, I work 50-60 hour weeks despite contracting for 40 hours. Have worked with others in ecs who do up to 80 hours a week for particularly demanding clients.
