Avantages
- Working with very talented and passionate individuals to take on complex challenges using cutting edge technologies and methodologies, along with a steady stream of reliable project work. - Encouragement & support from management to pursue your areas of interest, and carve out your own niche, while also having enough of a structure to support career advancement. - In general a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. You are trusted to get your work done, and therefore managing your own time is important. Work remotely when you need or want to, with one really looking over your shoulder. A good sense of support and camaraderie amongst co-workers. - A clear and well-communicated sense of direction from upper management.
Inconvénients
- There are some subtle differences in projects and perhaps even culture between the different offices, and therefore what you get to do may depend on where you are located. Not a major con as that can be experienced anywhere. - There was a year of operational integration with the parent company, Insight. Getting on the same page with systems, support, benefits, etc. was somewhat painful at points and led to some dissatisfaction. There are still moments where moving faster or autonomously with some things administratively are not as swift or as clear as they should be. I'm hopeful that most of that is behind us and the strategic advantages of working side by side take the focal point in the coming year. - The different offices have an opportunity to come together a bit more in knowledge and resource sharing. Not a lot of transparent opportunities to collaborate with others outside your own office among non-mgmt unless you get plucked for a project, or someone gets assigned to yours.
