Avantages

WorkWave buys all employees lunch daily which is a great perk. There are some very talented, dedicated and great people that work at WorkWave.

Inconvénients

Not many in Workwave will be honest and share what we are all thinking so I will do it! Be warned... over the past few months many great employees have been let go ...they had no notice that lay offs were coming, they were blindsided, no warning, no PIPS, no reasons, some were with the company for many years. It was not due to performance. No notification was sent out to the balance of the company about each departure you only found out if you went looking for the person or if the rumor spread to you. What do you think this shows the rest of us? Here today gone tomorrow... and that we are ALL at risk currently and we can all be gone in a day with no notice!!! Who is next to go? Of course this is causing many to start looking for new employment and rightfully so. Several great people have left on their own over the last few weeks..... and more are coming for sure because there is no sign of change or improvement. Communication at this company is lacking (unless they are boosting about a recent award or are asking for good reviews so that they can get another award). The company has no formal HR department, there are only few in talent management who recruit, they sub out all other areas. A company of our size needs people who are trained HR professionals and know how to be confidential. There are internal surveys like Culture IQ which are supposed to be anonymous, but this is doubtful and we all feel they are a waste of time, no change came from the last round, in fact things have gotten worse. There is not one person that employees feel they can confide in if or when there is an issue. One of the core values is to Speak Up... but to who only a select few have power in the company and you run the risk of being labeled or let go. You only get communication if you are in the know and in the C Level circle of friends, unless it is a fluff bragging email or a half year company meeting. The company is looking to move to a much bigger office space with lots of overhead and unfortunately C Level Management is chopping heads to run the company much leaner and offset the tremendous costs. (we all see what is happening here). They have lost site of what is important here. They should be concentrating on the many broken processes within the company such as halting selling a product that was released way to early, support, onboarding, finance and to retain our clients instead of worrying about moving to a prestigious location and how many awards they can get, so they can sell or go public some day. Who cares about the awards if the company's foundation is broken? Also there is to much of a buddy system here amongst the leadership team. If you are not part of their circle and socializing with them outside of work you are a risk and need to watch your back. An additional con is that the salaries are much lower at WorkWave compared to the industry and the company is moving into a building with other software companies so they will have a lot move competition for a resource pool for talented candidates. I guess the good news that if someone gets laid off there will have multiple technology companies in the same building to reach out to........

I strongly encourage you (and any other employee with any similar concerns) to talk to a member of a leadership team directly. Your comments reflect a disconnect between your perception and the reality of our business decisions, processes, and initiatives. I'm confident that a direct conversation with any of our leadership team will go a long way in closing those gaps and making any remaining concerns known so those can be addressed as well. Their doors are always open.

This is an out with the old and in with the new story. Don’t believe everything you read from negative reviews. The companies new leadership is doing EXACTLY what should have been done over 5 years ago. If you’re a solid worker with talent and seasoned experience outside of WW you’ll fit in with the new first string team members. We are working on things that the past teams should have completed years ago and now it’s actually going to happen. That’s a comeback kid story for sure.

Inconvénients

Based on my pros you can guess there are some folks who have been let go recently and some others who are left and have feelings about it. The cleaning out of the old and the wave of incoming new people is a pro not a con some people need to get with that program and perform or exit. Don’t let those bad attitudes stop you from joining, they can see themselves to the door as quickly as you can come fill their seat.

Unlimited PTO and remote work.

Inconvénients

The company is owned by 4 private equity firms. They do not allow you to make any collections efforts. The department policy is to call twice and send multiple emails for payment. At the end of the month they end up writing off hundreds of accounts and pl ing them for collections. They make no effort to work with their customers especially if they are having financial difficulties. They have no contracts department to actually review when a customer has to cancel. If you sign a 1 year contract for certain cost in the middle of this contract they will issue a price increase. It’s a hard job especially when you can’t help these customers and you are constantly getting yelled and cursed at by the customers. take this job at your own risk.
