You apply online and wait for their reply. It can take months to go back to you. Process is very structured and you need to apply 'on time' otherwise you are not going to be considered for this year selection. Each year, there are about few thousand people applying. There is no opportunity to negotiate conditions and salary as everyone has equal start (at least this is what they say). After application, selected candidates are asked to answer some questions about your attitude and what would you do if... and this is done through a website. When quiz goes well, you are asked for an interview. It is usually interview with group leader and your line manager. Up to three people in front of you. There were no tricky questions, very standard questions about experience, and what you did before (any summer placements etc.) After about two weeks, you get a reply. If it is positive, they will send you offer almost immediately. The whole process can take more than a year (!).
