Entretien
Had an online assesment first then got called in for a group interview. We had to talk to and then introduce the person sat next to us to the rest of the group and then we watched some ASDA company information videos (not sure why, they didn't ask any questions about them). Finally we did a group based task where we had to build a tower of cards, was pretty simple, they just want to see how you work with other people.
Then I got called back for a second one-to-one interview in which I had to complete a knowledge, attitude, hazard perception and risk assesment with regards to driving. Some of the knowledge questions were a bit tricky but they're all multiple choice so it's not too bad. After scoring either low or medium risk on this test you'll go for a one-to-one interview (If you get a high risk score then I imagine they don't hire you) with a section manager which was all very informal for mine. The section leader basically asks why you want to be a driver, what experience you have of working in a team, getting on with people you don't like, and explains a bit about the job. They also check with the DVLA that you don't have any points on your licence.
After this they call you back and let you know whether or not you got the job, I got called back about 4 days later.

Question 1
There were a couple of questions on driving that I didn't really know the answer too and still don't really, the test gives you the 'correct answer' after you've completed it but many times I found that the given answer was too general and didn't actually answer the original question, for example; Is it legal to exceed the speed limit to overtake? When driving in foggy conditions how should you join a highway at a junction? What is the correct procedure to join a motorway when traveling behind a large slow-moving lorry?
Simple questions about if you have any experience driving vans. What hours you are able to do , most of the time they're after evening and weekend workers. Ask about previous job roles and how you feel you would cope in the role. A few customer scenario situations and how you would resolve them.

Entretien
I was shown around the 'pod' was asked about my experience and my current job I was then taken to an office and was asked what hours I was looking for, what shifts I'd prefer and they took a copy of my passport then once that was done I was shown out and told I'd be contacted in a few days I am still waiting 3rd day
Very relaxed, friendly and person centred.
I was made to feel at ease and was offered guidance if I felt unsure about anything.
Small group setting, much better than a mass interview
