Had an initial interview that went well, Than an in person interview that was somewhat appalling. For starters, my interviewer had his feet on the desk the whole time, told me I was too professional. Also said they "hire a lot of criminals' who are 'not good people' and that the company 'isn't great' and he will be leaving soon, He also said most employees don't stay long and that I will likely be pushed around or bullied by them. This is just to get an idea of how it went.

Initial interview with a corporate recruiter. Declined second interview. When you're emailing an applicant, double check the spelling of their name in your greeting, not just a letter misplaced, the entire name misspelled with no acknowledgement or apology. You have my resume and my application stating the correct spelling, it's unprofessional and this would be unacceptable as a candidate to do so. Accidents and autocorrect do happen but its up to us to proofread. Scheduling the screening interview was easy enough, it seems like they have flexible availability within standard business hours to accommodate schedules. I do understand that it was only a screening interview, but it seemed as though the questions asked could be asked on-site, maybe they're trying to "weed" out inexperienced applications to avoid a strenuous hiring process - who know, it just seemed odd. They asked for my timelines of employment which is on my resume, and asked me to tell them about myself. Questions I asked were given very vague/surface level answers and just felt like a waste of 30 minutes. It seems like the company does have potential and seems as though they have a decent benefits package, but the screening process seems like it needs a revamp. The recruiter was very nice, this is just a truthful experience-based response.
