Several interviews (more than 7 people), including product, training, engineering, sales, leads and ultimately, a HR representative.
It took around three months to get a message from manager “you will talk to X to discuss compensation and next steps”. And after giving my professional references (which is something I only do when certain about an offer), they said the company changed priorities and would only hire for the role in the next quarter. When next quarter came, I was introduced to a new HR representative who asked me some questions and at the end was asking what type of visa (?) I had. I found it pretty disrespectful as an immigration considering she knew I’m a US resident, with years of corporate experience in the US. Asking what type of visa for a candidate is not ethical. After answering that this was not an appropriate question, she said she would get in touch. Many weeks passed and after sending an email to HR, I never heard back from her and today I saw they hired an enablement manager.
Some people call them professionals when they’re actually xenophobics without knowing it. Very disappointing.
