My first conversation was with an Avanade HR recruiter. He did a great job. He gave me the impression that they we're having a tough time finding people and weren't really focused on technical skills. They were looking for people with Consulting experience, good communication skills and were willing to train the right people.
Technical screener started off by calling me 10 minutes late. I told him a bit about himself and he proceeded to ask me a series of questions on Azure. We definitely had a tough time matching up on the questions and answers. I gave him some in-depth technical answers he kept saying I'll back you up and rephrase the question and a few times he said you already answered this question. So of course I was thinking then why are you asking me again. In the end, after I told him I've been in the business for 20 years and my last project was and Office 365 migration, he gave me a lecture about not being a button-pusher, that these were simple questions that I should be able to answer, I should have a passion for the technology and build lab environment. This is after he ask me a series of button-pushing questions. I found him to be condescending and kind of rude. I wouldn't recommend applying for a job with this company or at least hope you get a different technical screener.
