Applied for an Associate Position at BCG X, got a screening interview with the senior recruiter who mid interview revealed she was actually interviewing me for an entirely different role than I applied for. At the end of the interview she said she thought I would be a great fit, explained the rest of the process to me, and then 5 days later I received an automated rejection letter with no feedback. Reached back out to the recruiter to find out what went wrong and got ghosted. Disappointing from such a reputable firm.
