J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Brightedge Technologies (Sydney) en nov. 2014

      Entretien

This was a 5 step interview process: 1. A phone interview with the HR Director. Got screened for fit and experience. 2. An interview with the Client Service Director. Case study questions + industry knowledge questions. 3. An interview with the VP of Client Services. More case study questions + culture fit questions. 4. An interview with the VP of Strategy and Client Services. Even more case study questions. 5. An interview with the CEO. Strategy, experience and case study questions.

      Entretien

A number of phone interviews along with in-person interviews with the team, and 1 meet and greet/interview with the VP. Personality and brain teaser questions. Just what you would expect. It was a fairly long interview process from the phone screen to the final meet and greet with the VP, taking a little over 2 months to get there. I was excited to have gotten far enough to meet the VP, however The VP was extremely rude during the interview. He yawned constantly and loudly with no shame and seemed to have been paying little or no attention span during my interview, seeming incredibly uninterested. I had never been in an interview where I felt so disrespected. I almost had to question whether the final part of the interview was a stress test or not. Prior to that experience, my interactions with the rest of the team were good. Their interview questions were overall great practice for interviewing for other companies, but I just can't get over how rude and unprofessional the VP was during that interview... It left a sour taste for me.

I connected with the internal recruiter via LinkedIn after applying online for the job. She was happy to make the connection and after a few emails back and forth we scheduled a phone interview for the following Monday. We had a great conversation that lasted about 45 minutes; she was lovely to speak with. We left off that she was going to speak with hiring manager regarding next steps and would get back to me by Wednesday or Thursday of that same week. Both days came and went with no information. I emailed her; got no response. The next week I signed onto LinkedIn only to see in my feed that she had a new job that started that very day! I reached out to her but got no response. I then emailed the head of HR at Brightedge explaining the situation and as expected, got no response. I emailed again; nothing. I tried calling to get an answer. Stonewalled. Obviously I moved on but what stood out to me was how POORLY this was handled. You mean to tell me that no one in that department was taking over her work or candidates?? Even if I wasn't getting moved to next steps how about being professional and showing a sense of integrity and reaching out to the people she had been speaking with regarding open positions. In the long run, I realized I'm better off because it's things like this that are just a small window into how a company operates and treats people. I dodged a bullet.
