I had an interview with the hiring manager over video call after a recruiter had put me in touch. Simple interview with basic questions about my experience. Recruiter said I could start remotely but hiring manager did not agree or know about this prior to the interview. Was told by the hiring manager I couldn’t start remotely so ended the interview after a quick chat about my experience. Lack of communication between the recruiter and hiring manager which meant I wasn’t eligible to get the role - not a good use of any of our time.
