In the initial application I had to answer 3 questions about CAPCO, the industry and my interest in the initial application. This was in addition to a cover letter and CV. I was surprised that they asked me to then attend an assessment day as I had accidentally referred to them as Bain in my (recycled) cover letter. The assessment centre was a good experience. Consisted of three twenty minute one on one interviews and a group case study. I did myself a disservice by not preparing at all. I had received a job offer from a company that I much preferred the day before I received the invitation. I only attended the the assessment centre for the experience. Although I still prefer my new employer, I was impressed by how they presented CAPCO as a company during the assessment centre. The only possible negative drawback from the ATP is the lack of structure after the training programme. They made it very clear that you are left to your own devices, when it comes to finding projects and making a career for yourself. I imagine for some people this would be great but for me I would prefer a clearer structure on my career progression and day to day work.

Really smooth and well-organised process. Everyone I spoke with was genuinely kind and welcoming, which made it feel much less daunting than expected. The stages were clearly communicated and the team were great at keeping me informed throughout. Came away feeling really positive about the culture.
