I received an email from a corporate recruiter saying that they would like to invite me to an interview. At the time of the interview, the person started the conversation by saying that they already had their finalists. I usually spend a couple of hours preparing for interviews so I still asked the questions that I had about the role. The person came off as if their focus was elsewhere and that they were bored, or annoyed, with my questions. When I told them my desired salary range, and it was higher than the salary that they offered, they abruptly said "it's in the job posting." I explained that I was aware of their salary range but it still made sense to discuss it, as I have over a decade of experience and want to make sure that we're looking at the upper range. This was probably a one off, but it made me feel like the company sees interviews as a one-way-street and that they have little respect for the interviewees' time.
