I applied online in January. Received a call during work hours about a week later that I was not able answer. I called the recruiter back that same day and about 3 other times leaving voicemails but never got a response.
About a week later from their initial call, I checked into their online portal and it stated that I was no longer in consideration. Fast forward about 3 weeks, I get an email from the local branch manager at the location I applied for. The email contained no introduction and was basically a couple of sentences asking when we could meet.
The day of the interview, the manager had me confused with some one else that had gotten referred by an employee and said something along the lines of "Well you're already here so we might as well.." The energy felt like it had turned into a thing to get quickly over with rather than an actual conversation about the role. I honestly did not even want to proceed with the interview at that point. We spoke for about 30 minutes, the conversation was all over the place and once we were done I left the place knowing I had wasted my time. I've gone through many interviews at a wide range of companies during my career and I can honestly say I've never experienced anything like that.
Expected a bit more from a place like Chase.
