After an initial phone interview with a recruiter, I had a video call with the hiring manager, followed by a home assignment. Next, there was a video call with the VP and, finally, an on-site teach-back panel interview which was completely different from the home assignment.
Both assignments were needlessly confusing and lacked time limits, which led me to spend an unreasonable amount of time on the application process.
Two weeks after the panel, the recruiter informed me that they had chosen another candidate for the position. The reason given was "there were many applicants for the position," which I found to be a rather insulting reason after the amount of time and effort I had dedicated to this process.
Overall, this was an extremely unsatisfactory experience that has led me to the decision that I will not be applying for any positions with Combined Insurance or their parent company in the future.
