After applying to this job for the 3rd time in 12 months, I finally had a phone screening with talent acquisition and then an interview with the hiring manager. Things seemed to go well and we clicked. A few days later, I get an email saying that they’ve canceled the position to reevaluate it.
After a year, you would think that they would have already evaluated it several times.
I don’t think they realize that most people spend 30 minutes or more to research, refine resume, and then apply through their cumbersome ATS. If you multiply that times the 1000+ people that applied, you now cumulatively wasted 6 months worth of potential workers’ time. For a 100K position, that’s about 50K in waste. I will not be applying again.
