The first step started off with a screening from HR. The next step involved talking to a director on the Solutions Engineer team. They asked simple questions about your background, experience, and technical projects. The next step involved completing a very time consuming technical project. It consisted of installing their product and documenting any technical issues encountered. You then also had to answer fake troubleshooting tickets, as if this was a client asking for help. The next step involved coming in for a four hour in-person interview. Everyone was extremely nice. The first part you meant with two people on the team and they asked basic questions about your background. The next part involved meeting with another two people and in depth describing and showing them a technical project you worked on. The next part involved meeting with one software developer. They asked about a technical project you worked on and also had you answer technical questions. Finally, you then talked to two directors on the team and finished up with any questions you had. Overall, it was a long and tiring process, but a positive one.

I had a very disappointing experience with Datadog's recruitment process. After making it to the final round for a Solutions role, I later learned that recruiters had contacted former colleagues at my current company to ask for feedback about me. This information made its way back internally, putting my current job at risk. Not only is this highly unprofessional, but it also raises serious confidentiality concerns. I would caution candidates to be aware of this before applying.

Entretien
It had 4 phases: HR, HM, Tech Assessment, Panel.
The tech assessment was made with an online platform, and it was really simple.
In the panel I had to talk about a topic where I was good technically and the interviewers acted like customers making questions etc (be really prepared on that). They payed me all the travel expenses since this last one was face-to-face
