J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Datadog (Paris) en mars 2020
Entretien
3 steps in the process for an intern :
coding interview -> take-home project -> interview with the hiring manager
The process is overall a very good experience. I learned a lot at each step.
The coding interview wasn't that difficult, it was very standard coding questions. You also have some time to discuss the work of your interviewer and the product.
The take-home project is a masterpiece in terms of investment. I think they evaluate the way I work, and assess my motivation to work for them. It takes two full days if you want to do it the right way.
The interview with the hiring manager was a total discussion about Datadog and the future team I could work with. If you're not really interested in the product and the company, you won't be able to pass this interview.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
to encode the interview, you can watch a video on the internet
for the "take-home" project: You have to monitor...
with the person in charge of hiring: discussion of my motivations, my vision, what I wanted to do, the way I work
Very light. Quick recruiter screen and then a 75 or so minute technical with one of the engineers where you go over a project & two leetcode mediums. Was overall very chill, they are willing to help you as well.
Interviewers were very nice, standard leetcode mediums asked only. They also expected me to talk about a previous project of mine in depth as well as explain challenges that went along with it
Straightforward and easy, they were very communicative but interview process stretched over multiple weeks. Behavioral/screening with recruiter and then technical interview with 2 questions and they ask about a project on your resume
